A Bank in Downtown Toronto (WFH) is seeking Developer - Specialty - 3 for a contract of 6 months.
Business group: Canadian Digital Banking Engineering – Applications - part of Bank Digital Engineering – supporting digital banking applications (desktop banking), Team is focused on authentication and digital identity
Project: - Open Banking Project - connecting with other banks to process day to day banking; handling consent solutions for the project. Looking for a Developer/Automation QA (backend focus). To support testing in Open Banking project for Authentication and Phoenix team. This individual will be doing a hybrid role - Back end coding along with QA Testing.

| Job Requirements |
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8 (coding on backend)
2) 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microservices & SpringBoot
3) 3+ years of hands-on Cloud experience (understand deployment and connectivity, how to setup the dual service) - Azure preferred
4) 5+ years in QA testing in both automation and manual testing for back-end and front-end applications
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1) Connectivity and network experience
2) Experience with Splunk & Dynatrace
3) FI/Banking experience (Canadian Bank)
4) Security and authentication (know the O AUTH standards & security regarding coding & the server side)
Notes from the manager:
- The role is to perform QA testing including manual and automation on API and Front-end. For API testing, it is Java. For front-end (React), we don’t have any automation so far but we do have plan to implement automation testing on Front-end as well.
- It will be 50/50 on API and UI testing.. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience to help API testing (either use Java or manual testing via Postman), and UI testing (mainly manual but we need Candidate to work with Developers to identify the automation scope and develop the framework).
