A Bank in Downtown Toronto (WFH) is seeking Niche-Special Exception (IT) for a contract of 6 months depending on the start date.
• Business Group: GWMS- Asset Management Solutions
• Project: To onboard 15-20 investment funds comprising variety of investment vehicles (Including complex derivative structures). These funds onboarded onto the Simcorp dimension application
Candidate Value Proposition
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help design, plan and build out business workflows as well as integration paths on to the Simcorp platform.
Typical Day in Role
• Main function of this role is the capacity to work with SimCorp on a daily basis
• Understand, introduce and troubleshoot complex Trade and security workflows into the system
• Building/Updating DEX and DFS
• Updates to trade manager module
• Changing collateral information
• Creating new or updating existing portfolio calculations
• Updating reconciliation module
• Using IBOR (Investment Book of Record – trade manager, collateral, reconciliation), not ABOR (Accounting, GL framework)
• Business analysis and configuration of business workflows in SimCorp dimension
• Daily stand-ups and grooming sessions
• Communicating with portfolio administration middle office team, product owner, BAs, QA, solution architects, etc.
• Gathers requirements from business units
• Aid support team and provide work guidance
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of SimCorp application business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes

Job Requirements |
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Business Analyst, BA or related field
• Strong hands-on experience and knowledge of SimCorp (and ability to make changes)
• 5+ years experience in investment management back office functions or Capital market (fixed income, commission fees, management of derivates, common stocks)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Experience with Crystal Reports is an asset
• Strong experience SQL and Oracle Database (ability to write queries, manipulate data, etc.)
• Experience with Charles River OR similar order management systems/OMS
Soft Skills:
• Communication (written and oral)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team player
