Job Description A Bank in Downtown Toronto (WFH) is seeking Application Support Analyst - 5 for a contract of 12 months depending on the start date. • Business Group: Audit Professional Practice (APP) team • Project: Contributes to the overall success of the Audit Department in Canada and globally as part of the global Audit Professional Practice (APP) team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the Chief Auditor’s and Audit Department’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Candidate Value Proposition • The successful candidate will have the opportunity help to join on of the Top Banks in Canada Typical Day in Role • Provide support for assigned applications systems (built in-house and 3rd Party vendor applications), evaluate problems of moderate complexity and identify actions to be taken and recommend/implement solutions to system problems. • Conduct testing of new software releases to ensure successful implementation with no impact to the existing environments. • Maintain current security permissions as per Bank policies on user accounts and applications via Add, Delete and Changes of user memberships, group memberships and access levels on all supporting environments. Assist in the investigation of applicable applications and account access issues, without exceeding departmental boundaries. The incumbent will also provide management with analysis of all presented issues and distribute all changes identified as workarounds or fixes within the group and other technical support groups. • Coordinate with IT&S on a day-to-day basis for the outsourcing of the department’s end user technology support to ensure responsive technical support is provided (Help Desk, Problem Management, Change Management, Break/Fix,IMAC's, RFS's, SSO’s, Server Management, Workstation Image Management, Asset Management/Inventory, Service Management, Server Quota Management control/monitoring, Life Cycle Management (Technology Refresh, operating system upgrades etc.), Pre-acquisition consulting on compatibility and infrastructure requirements). • Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment Candidate Requirements/Must-Have skills • 2+ years of experience as a Application Support Analyst or similar role with emphasis on broad exposure to all aspects of systems software and multiple platforms • Experience with Windows 11 Desktop & previous experience troubleshooting connectivity issues and walking the user to find the root cause of the error • Previous experience with database connectivity. Preferred ODBC • Previous experience with SharePoint • Previous experience with Active Directory. User Identification with AD knowledge with the security mono, experience setting up user profiles and applications Nice to Have Skills • FI experience OR a good knowledge of the Bank’s Security policies and account management procedures is a plus • Spanish is an asset • Experience with ServiceNow Soft Skills • An understanding of standards and methodology as they apply to his/her job function. • Analytical, conceptual and communication skills at a level that will allow the incumbent to provide input to project plans as well as being innovative in designing solutions that can be implemented in the least number of workdays and yet fulfill the needs of the user. • Must be functionally competent in the use of standard office productivity tools (e.g. Microsoft Tools) • Good verbal and written communication skills • Must have a good knowledge and familiarity with the operating systems environments and the various components and applications involved Education • Bachelor’s Degree, College Certificate or related field experience is a requirement Interview: •1 video conference interview, 1 hour with HM (Technical & Behavior questions) • ASAP interviews Best vs Average • The best candidate has all of the must-have skills and previous experience in the FI with great customer service and analytic skills to provide results to the users and the bank. As well as creating documentation to assist members of the team Bank will review any requests for accommodations put forward by Suppliers
