A Bank in Downtown Toronto (WFH) is seeking Developer - Generic - 4 for a contract of 6 months.
• Business group: The GWRT, Regulatory and Compliance Technology group manages the global regulatory technology upgrades for the capital markets groups.
• Project: The team is working on an OTC Remediation migration project. The project has been ongoing and requires a strong developer as they continue through the lifecycle.

Candidate Value Proposition
• The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage with multiple business lines Globally, while utilizing new technology (i.e. React, Redis, Elastic Search, Kafka, Sprint Boot)
Typical Day in Role
• Work closely with Business Analyst, Product Owner and other SMEs to interpret requirements and translate them to application solutions
• Ensure delivery of negotiated product/function while following standards and methodologies. This includes the design, development, and unit testing of solutions using Java/Scala/Python, Spring Boot, RESTful services and a variety of Microservices
• Design solutions, write codes, performs unit testing, develops appropriate artifacts/documentation, and facilitates final delivery
• Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems
• Liaises and solutions with third party vendors, to ensure the integration of their products/solutions meet our business and application requirements
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
• Deploying, automating, maintaining and managing all stages of the technology product life cycle
• Collaboration as part of an Agile development team, participation in daily stand-ups, preparation of work estimates, identification of blocking and critical path steps

| Job Requirements |
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 5 + years development and support experience using Java OR Python
2) 3 + years’ development with Spring Boot
3) 3 + years’ development with React
4) Minimum 1 project exposure utilizing DevOps technology with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Gradle/Maven, BitBucket, Artifactory, Docker, SonarQube)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Database experience with SQL (MS SQL OR Sybase OR SQL Server OR PL/SQL) and NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch, Redis)
• Experience with one of the following technologies: Apache Kafka, Hadoop or S3, Camel, Elastic Search, JSON is a plus
• Previous Bank experience is a plus
