Job Description	A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking a Business Analyst for a 4 Month contract (Renewable). The Customer Master Data Management Solutions is seeking a Business System Analyst for a large compliance KYC Enhancements Project with multiple streams and phases. The project has already begun. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain further hands on experience with Banking regulations and will likely have the opportunity to be extended and work on additional projects. Daily Responsibilities: • Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies • Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities • Supports one or more highly complex business processes • Works on multiple projects as a project team member • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs - Communication skills are very important – will be translating requirements between technical team & the business - The more experience the better, but must be recent and hands on
Job Requirements	Must Have Skills: 2) 6+ years of experience as a Business System Analyst 3) 2+ years of experience with Mainframe or Development (Database or Java) Soft Skills: • Ability to work with various experts, stakeholders, developers & teams (cross-functional teams) • Very strong communication skills (both oral and written) Nice to Haves: - FI/Banking experience as a BSA (Scotiabank or One of the Big 5 Banks) - Experience managing customer information systems - Solution Design experience Degrees: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field or equivalent work experience.
