A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking 3 Analyst developers for a 3 month contract (Renewable). The TAMLO-Application Development is seeking an ETL Developer for a Data Governance Project that is in the initial phases but is expected to take up to at least a year. The ETL Developer will also be providing ongoing support (70% Project, 30% ongoing support).
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on other projects based on their performance.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) ETL Developer – 5+ years of experience
2) Experience with relational databases – 5+ years of hands on experience
3) SQL queries – 5+ years of hands on experience
4) Working in database development – 5+ years of hands on experience
5) Hadoop/Cloud environment, and any major programming languages - 3+ years of hands on experience
6) Experience with DataStage in building complex, resilient, and highly scalable ETL solutions – 3+ years of hands on experience
7) Experience with Hadoop ecosystem (HBase, Hive, Sqoop) – 3+ years of hands on experience
8) Experience with Unix and Unix script – 3+ years of hands on experience
- Advanced SQL, DataStage, & ETL experience is the most important
- Resume must demonstrate they have ETL development skills & understand complex data
- Flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
- If they have information analyzer – they could be involved in long term work
- Want to see candidates with long-term contracts (1+ year contracts) (prefer consistent industry & those who do work relative to what we’re looking for)
- Experience must be hands on & recent (not looking for a lead)
- Need someone to start within 2 weeks’ notice
Soft- Skills:
- Strong communication skills (working with BAs and Business)
Nice to Have
- FI/Banking experience (North American but one of the Big 5 is preferred)
- Experience with Tidal, Autosys, or other scheduling system
- Information Analyzer
- Python
- Related Certifications
- Experience with AML
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
