| Job Description |
A bank in Scarborough is seeking a Security Specialist for a one year contract. ( (to 5 plus overtime). The IS&C-GWT Technical Security Services mandate is to identify, track, coordinate and resolve vulnerabilities for both services and workstations in the bank on a global scale.
• The successful candidate will be exposed to a large banking environment and work with all levels of staff from technical resources to Senior VP’s. Working with a close team that is dynamic and work very well together, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to have a hands-on director that leads by example and provides a high level of autonomy.
Typical Day in Role
• Identify security issues and risks, and develop mitigation plans
• Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate security-focused tools and services including project leadership roles
• Develop and interpret security policies and procedures
• Participate in security compliance efforts
• Develop and deliver training materials and perform general security awareness and specific security technology training

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) 5 + years’ experience with Vulnerability Management
2) 5 + years’ advanced Excel skills: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs
3) 5 + years’ experience with Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365
4) Excellent communication skills, able to guide multiple lines of business and senior stakeholders through critical issues as needed
Additional Notes
• The hiring manager is really looking for a strong communicator; someone who can work with all levels of the bank and autonomously work with a dynamic team
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- CISSP is not mandatory, but a major plus (candidates who have this will be prioritized)
- Previous bank experience is a plus, but not mandatory
- Experience with IP360 and CCM tools is a plus, but not mandatory
- FI experience is beneficial, but not mandatory
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
