A bank in Scarborough is looking for an intermediate Business System Analyst for a 4 month contract (Renewable or go FTE). The Enterprise Technology (Fraud Management Group) is seeking a BSA who will help with upgrading this bank’s Fraud System. There are multiple initiatives under way including, debit and credit monitoring transaction systems, check wires, international business line to upgrade debit and credit fraud system. Projects involve data analytics; this resource won’t be running data analytics but should have that mind set.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about big data, artificial intelligence, building all of that out from foundation, and work with leading edge tools and fraud systems.
Typical Day in Role
- Understand how data flows, will report to manager directly and work with another BA.
• Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies
• Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers
• Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation
• Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Supports one or more highly complex business processes
• Works on multiple projects as a project team member
• Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs
