A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking 3 Senior BI Developers for 6 month contract each (Renewable. The Global Fraud Technology is seeking 3 seasoned BI Developers. The main function of a BI Developer is to design and implement end to end BI solutions from data analysis, data modeling, ETL, wireframe to dashboard creation. In order to provide actionable strategic and operational insights for decision making, expertise in data visualization, data wrangling, data architecture coupled with an analytical mindset are a must.
The BI Developers will be working on a Support Analytics Architecture project within the Fraud Management group. They will be building best in class BI solutions for the Fraud Analytics teams, and will be working closely with Product Owners, Developers, Scrum Masters, Project Management and Stakeholders.

Typical Day in Role
• Analyze highly complex business operations and logic and translating those into technical implementations
• Data wrangling to merge disjointed data sources and implement complex KPI calculations
• Develop ETL process using MS BI stack to ingest, transform, cleanse and load data into on-prem SQL Server 2017 and/or Azure SQL DB
• Conduct data analysis and profiling to map data elements to business processes
• Design and develop highly optimized data infrastructure for fast querying of large volume of data
• Leverage best practice and emerging trends in data visualization and storytelling to build best in class dashboards and scorecards for Performance Management on PowerBI
• Assure data quality, security, and compliance requirements are met
• Be flexible and thrive in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deployment of large scale BI and data warehouse projects from end to end
2) Experience working with operational datasets, such as user activity log and claims workflow, to derive employee performance metric – 5+ years
3) Expert knowledge and hands on experience with SQL – 5+ years
4) Expert knowledge of leading BI tools, eg PowerBI and Tableau – 3+ years
5) Experience working with Agile methodology for BI and Analytics – 3+ years
6) TFS – team foundation server – used for code control and version control- 5+ years
7) Data visualization and UX – 5 years (preferably with Javascript or Python)
8) Strong communication skills
Nice-To-Have Skills:
• Experience working with Azure SQL DB
• Experience working with data warehouse within Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working with BitBucket, and creating DevOps pipeline
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
