A bank in Downtown Toronto is seeking an intermediate Developer (likelihood of transitioning to FTE). The AML & Compliance Data Intelligence group is seeking an Intermediate Developer for a compliance-based project that will be beginning from scratch. The project will focus on transitioning data into a Google Cloud and creating data models within.
The successful candidate will be working on this project from start to end, while working with new Google Cloud technologies. The candidate will also have the opportunity to transition into a FTE.

• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) 2.5+ years of strong hands on experience with Google Data Flow/Amazon Kinesis, Diyotta, Talend, Node JS, Java and Python (2.5+ years of experience – experience with Google Cloud is mandatory*)
2) 4+ years of strong Experience with ETL tools, concepts and processes such as data migration, database conversion, data mining or data analysis
3) 2.5+ years of experience developing scripts to migrate on-prem data to Google platform using technologies (HDFS, GCS, Google BigQuery, Teradata, DB2, SQL Server and Oracle)
4) 2+ years of development experience with Dev Ops processes and knowledge of Git, Bitbucket & Jenkins
5) 2+ years of strong scripting skills using SQL in Hadoop and Cloud platform & strong knowledge of columnar and NoSQL databases
6) 2.5+ years of experience in setting up ETL best practices of using Cloud services and other systems
7) 3 + years of experience in Agile development methodology and experience with software development technologies and concepts
8) Strong knowledge of both Batch and Real time processing
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Google Cloud Certification
- Previous Banking Industry Experience (North American Banking)
Degrees or certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
