A bank in Scarborough is looking for 4 Java Developers for a 6 month contract to begin (Ending October 31st, and should be renewed). Business group: Global Payments Technology team is seeking x4 Senior Developers to work on payment and technology projects.

- Typical day in role:
- - Work with Solution Architect to build highly available, flexible, and secure systems
- - Design and implement team level technical solutions
- - Identify metrics to measure impact and support broader objectives
- - Guide and mentor the team to improve architecture and code quality
- - Mentor and coach junior engineers
- - Effectively communicate to a cross-functional audience
- - Participate in the hiring and recruitment of new engineers

| Job Requirements |
Must have skills: 3+ years of experience as a developer
1. 3+ years’ experience programming in Java, or JavaScript (ReactJS or AngularJS)
2. 3 + years’ experience using and designing web services, SOAP, REST APIs
3. 3 + years’ experience working with relational databases, and performance tuning
4. 2 + years’ experience building and supporting production quality software
- Nice to have: MQ, IIB, and Message Broker would be preferred, IIB, FTM (financial transaction management)
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
