A bank in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Software Engineer for a 4 month contract renewable; The Platform Moderinzation team is seeking a Full Stack Engineer. This Full Stack Engineer will design, build, and maintain products as well as own and solve problems from end to end. They will also debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack. They will work with other teams on building reusable component that are incorporated in multiple products.
PLATO is a development platform, which drives velocity, service enablement and reusability. It’s an integrated set of technical products encapsulating critical enterprise capabilities, automated processes, and social architecture to enable high-velocity application development. The PLATO team is comprised of engineers, problem solvers, agilests and creatives in roles such as Enterprise Platform Engineering and Architecture, Enterprise Data Services, Cloud Infrastructure and Architecture, Product Engineering, and Product Management. Together, the team provides the platform that enables the Bank to deliver transformative experiences to customers.
Typical Day in Role
• Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data
• Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications
• Implement system software and customize to client requirements
• Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans
• Code new programs to client’s specifications and create data for testing
• Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs
• Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation
• Provide quality assurance reviews
• Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing

| Job Requirements |
Must Have Skills:
1) Java, Javascript, C# (3+ years development experience)
2) RESTful (3+ years experience designing & implementing with good knowledge of HTTP)
3) Relational databases (3+ years experience working with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
4) Enterprise-level software systems (3+ years experience with scale and design)
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Startup company or tech company experience

Degrees or certifications:
