A bank in Scarborough is looking for a Junior Technical Analyst-Desktop Support. One year contract (Renewable) The Job description for the Desk-side Support Position is as follows. In a nutshell need someone with excellent communication skills and technical support skills.
Description
• Excellent knowledge of PC Hardware, Software Applications, and Peripherals
• Good understanding of the Host related applications and the various interfaces on AS/400 systems.
• Strong analytical and problem resolving skills
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Good understanding of the Windows Server based environments.
• Motivated self-starter and team player able to proactively investigate and research for troubleshooting
• Ability to configure the network with dynamic and static IP, proxies, and the DNS
• Preferred to have experience working with cross connects and patch panels
• Preferred to have scripting knowledge for automation.
• Experienced with configuring and analyzing the window’s registry. Services, processes, task scheduler,
• Identify, analyze and verify low to high level system and application problems/solutions.
• Respond to requests for assistance by Client Services Helpdesk and all other supported groups through Bit’s ticket. Ensure that adequate information has been obtained to work on problem and that the client receives prompt attention.
• Provide assistance in the deployment of new and existing desktop systems. Troubleshoot and configure desktop systems as part of Helpdesk Support.
• Provide Technical Support in System upgrades. Participate in internal projects to enhance current operations. Help to identify and improve areas where applicable.
• Provide effective day to day end user technical support to all units on production systems including; PCs,Servers (I series and X Series) printers, applications and telephone systems.
• Work technical support tickets raised by the Helpdesk.
