A bank in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Java (with Go) developer to develop an application and microservices and a DSL (domain specific language). The application will be developed using SpringBoot and React. The microservices and DSL may be built in Golang/Ruby. This is a key role where the developers will be expected to provide thought leadership with respect to design and development best practices in-terms of developing secure, high availability / performance distributed computing solutions.
These full stack positions with emphasize across both the front and back end of development. Using Java / Golang J2EE as well as React on the front end, we are looking for people with solid Spring framework and microservices experience using Restful WebServices and API’s. Ideally, this developer will have the ability to be internal client facing in a limited capacity. This resource is required for a high priority project dealing with security as a services (incorporates Hashicorps being one of the components). Emphasis will be more on the back-end and middleware type solution, working with user portal and admin portal. This resource needs to be a very strong developer (Full Stack) with an emphasis on Java, Spring, Springboot, API’s and javascript. They will be an integral part of the development and design, taking initiative with the overall architecture.

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of Java development experience, ideally in a full stack capacity. Additional experience with
Go and /or Ruby will be considered a strong plus.
• Experience with Spring or SpringBoot framework.
• Experience with React or Angular on the front end
• Previous exposure to microservices using RESTful WebServices and API’s
• Experience with Test Driven Development and Test Automation
• Strong written and oral communication
Desired Skills & Experience
• Experience developing/extending Domain Specific Languages
• Experience with AWS, GCP and/or Azure cloud solutions
• Experience / understanding cryptography and security
• Experience CICD pipeline tools (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Puppet, Artifactory) and
processes
• Agile development experience
• Large / Enterprise environment experience
• Experience with other programming languages such as Ruby, Python, etc.
• Ability to contribute to ideas and work well in a team environment
Educational requirements
• University degree in Computer Science or related field and 7+ years of related work experience;
Must Have Skills:
1) 7 + years of hardcore development experience
2) Java, spring, springboot, Javascript (front and back end)
3) API’s
4) Large projects, FI/Banks preferred
5) Communication skills are important
6) Nice to have: React, Go expertise, ruby, python, jira, confluence, cloud, microservices
Degrees or certifications:
