A bank in downtown Toronto is looking for Senior P/A for a 6 month contract renewable.
The main function of a Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies to support business requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area

• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.
Hiring Manager is looking for senior a Developer preferably coming from a large FI/Bank, no juniorish candidates (less than 7 years of experience) or candidates with short contracts/ durations on their resume without reason (Manager wants to see long term contracts). They are looking to on-board new clients into the wall street stream for the project.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• 5-7 years’ experience required
• Development experience in needed language or technology
• Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end
• Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC.
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Developer (7-10 years of experience)
2) Java Core (swing) 7+ years of experience
3) MQ (Message Q), Oracle, and Unix ( 6+ years of experience)
4) Trouble Shooting (6+ years of experience)
5) Previous FI/Banking experience
6) Wallstreet application (highly preferred) (API wall street would be great)
6) Nice to Have: working on WallStreet Systems, understanding of capital markets and global treasury business, JOT, agile environment.
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Post-Secondary education
