A bank in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Senior P/A
The main function of a Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies to support business requirementsJob Responsibilities:

• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area

This is a 100% operations support not development (supporting systems, application support). Resource will open tool and read it but won’t change it- only to advise in a support capacity. They should have good experience with operations, maintenance, worked on some ETL tools as they have to look into tool (should be able to learn Talend). This resource should able to understand how something is technically failing and explain it to the BA.
Candidate is to join a support/operations focused member of a busy development team, offloading operational tasks for the existing developers. - At least 8 years in operations, maintenance and application support - Experience will ETL tools needed (Such as Talend, Datastage, informatica, etc) - Comfortable working with large data volumes. - Experience trouble shooting those data sets to determine what is causing issues with job execution. - Experience reading through code and development tools, such as the above noted ETL tools, to assist in determining root cause. - Excellent Client Management and communication skills - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groups. - Capital Markets experience a very strong plus

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
• 5-7 years experience required
• Development experience in needed language or technology (e.g. - C#, C++, HTML)
• Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large scale projects from end-to-end
• Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile SDLC
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) 8 years as operations maintenance
2) trouble shooting, large data
3) Experience with ETL tools (should be able to look into tool and translate error etc).
4) Capital Markets is preferred (will just look at data elements and why something is failing, and know how process flows)
5) Great communication skills (really important- ability to critical think, explain etc)
6) Nice to have: read and understand code
