A bank in Downtown Toronto is looking for a Technical Analyst. The main function of a Technical Analyst is to plan, design, develop and implement efficient business and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.
• Gather requirements, design, configure, code, test and resolve issues in a development and production support environment.
• Development of modules, support for conversion of data, job scheduling, unit/integration testing, business process documentation, development of training materials, and delivery of end user training.
• Translate business requirements into configurations and interface specifications.
• Coordinate testing and validation with business users.
• Prepare detailed functional specifications for the development of custom reports, enhancements, interfaces, conversions, and forms.he manager is looking for a technical analyst that can work on a couple of different engagements (An Integration- time tracking design and integration of time sheet) and finance related. this process is still in the works and a more efficient process/design can definitely be implemented. All of the projects will be using SAAS, no hands on application development but the hands on work will be on the integration front- web service based integration or batch integration. There will also be multiple projects on the finance side- more dealing with providing a technical direction, working with solution architect on the finance project for security design, and helping with performance and capacity testing. They will also be working with project team conducting bandwidth testing as they’ll be integrating globally for a global deployment. This resource doesn’t need to be hands on but the manager does expect them to have a good understanding of IT and architecture guidelines in general.

| Job Requirements |
• Hands-on experience with development.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of design techniques and data integration principles.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 7 + years of experience.
1) Overall 7+ years of experience as a Technical Analyst
2) Good understanding of either web service based or batch oriented design, integration project (hands on experience with at least one integration platforms
3) Understand different integration patterns (architectures)
4) Data mapping, understanding of data ( data transmission, data integrity)
5) SAAS (external hosted application and internal integration between external hosted app and internal application
6) Great communication skills, both written and oral ( will be required to make work flow diagrams using Visio)
7) Nice to have: understanding of time tracking tool (PPM), knowledge of procurement process, previous FI/Bank
