Job Description A bank in Scarborough is looking for a senior Business Analyst. Enterprise Project Governance & Policy Standards group is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join the Business IT Alignment team to support and process reporting, portfolios, and CA PPM. As part of the Project Financial Management and IT's Real Estate team, the incumbent is responsible for providing ongoing support and detailed analysis for CA PPM to all supported units. This includes responding to support calls/questions, user administration, and running/monitoring jobs. This may also include participating in the testing of enhancements, training of users, assisting with research and analysis leading to the definition of requirements and processes to assist in the resolution of complex business problems. The main function of a Business Analyst is to perform the analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications. • Works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies • Gathers requirements from business units and translates those to programmers and developers • Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities • Supports one or more highly complex business processes • Works on multiple projects as a project team member • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs • Create business solutions that increase competitive advantage • Exercise good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions • Project management skills in order to handle diverse projects, often times simultaneously, and meet aggressive deadlines • Solve technical problems/ processes and understand complex details • Increase operating efficiency with produce high quality technical solutions • Analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions. Some travel to Downtown (King and Bay), is required.
Job Requirements - Business requirements (5+ years gathering & writing requirements) - Portfolio management tools & methodology (5+ years with CA PPM preferred but not mandatory) - Project risk reporting (5+ years with risk assessments) - Excel (5+ years with pivot tables, vlookups, macros) - Visio (5+ years with process flows, support, reporting) Nice To Have Skills: - Bilingual Spanish/English (both written and oral)
