The main function of an IT Project Manager is to oversee the application of project management methodology during all phases of the project cycle, with responsibilities that include project design, scope management, cost control, quality and performance reporting. • Develop, track and manage project budget, project plans, timelines and scope
• Manage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advising
• Partner closely with other members of functional project teams to define business requirements
• Lead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needs • Define test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance Testing
• Facilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and procedures
• Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses
• Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized
• Make presentations to steering committees or project sponsors
The hiring manager is looking for a junior/intermediate level Project Manager who is willing to work on an on-going program. This infrastructure related, and a continuous push to upgrade windows platforms (2008). There is a lot of volume repetitive type work (not high stress, but a long term program). This contractor will be doing everything from spread sheet work, tracing, reports, trending charts, excel, engaging server owners to submit RFS to initiate activity and financial tracking. They will be dealing with application owners. They must have Strong Understanding of Server Infrastructure terminology (citrix, windows OS versions, AIX, virtual to physical software, host is, and basic cloud knowledge. The manager would like to see meaningful experience and not short stints. This going without saying but they must have a good attitude to keep moving forward and not get discouraged as it’s a long term program which means there is a high possibility of extension.

| Job Requirements |
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
• PMP or PMI certification
• 5 years’ experience
• Proven project management experience
• People management and team building skills
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
• Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1) Overall 5 years' experience as an IT Project Manager for infrastructure projects.
2) Data Centre environment (5+ years’ experience).
3) Large Corp experience (Banking/FI/Telco) (5+ years’ experience)
4) MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint (5+ years’ experience)
5) Strong Understanding of Server Infrastructure terminology (citrix, windows OS versions, AIX, virtual to physical software, host) basic cloud knowledge
6) Nice to have: Basic cloud knowledge, PMP
Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree or Post-Secondary education
